Cat joined TEXANA in 1999 and
performs as Mrs. Minerva Barnes Miller – Pioneer Homemaker. Additionally,
she performs as a Composite Character at our campsites and is available
to teach specialized classes in our Pioneer Life-Skills and Craft
Demonstrations program.
Just like many of the Texas Pioneers that Kathy
tells about, she came to Texas from Tennessee. She draws upon her
childhood memories of growing up in the Appalachian Mountains to
portray a Composite Character at many of our campsites
and teach several of the various Pioneer Life Skills and Craft
Demonstrations and Workshops. She also is responsible for
coordinating the bookings for Texana. In addition to working with
Texana, Kathy is a Girl Scout Leader and is active in the PTA and in
her community.
